The William S. Bowman Trust for the Horticultural Beautification of Hershey was created in March 1996. The Trust is a perpetual trust and all contributions to the Trust are tax deductible. It was organized to qualify as a charitable trust under Section 501 (C) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1954, as amended.

The Trust is funded through the solicitation of contributions from the public at large to continue the tradition of hanging flower baskets along Chocolate Avenue in Hershey. Also, at the discretion of the Trustees, and as funds permit, the Bowman Trust provides for other projects to horticulturally beautify Hershey.
